I've done it before... and I promise you that the Showoff's were brighter. I actually put a Showoff bulb in my left... and a SilverStar in the right... back when I had stock headlight housings... And aimed my car at a wall. I'm not BSing you dude... the showoff's were brighter. As far as rain goes they prolly do suck, come to think about it. But I never noticed a problem...

Don't pay too much attention to flamers around here... sometimes they get too pissed off, do what you want. If you want something a little better, but not quite as bright... get some Sylvania SilverStar's from your local auto parts store... they run about $50 for 2 bulbs... where as the Showoff's are about $30 shipped. Also, if you decide to do the conversion, which uses 9005 for your low beams too... it basically gives you more light... check this site out... it helps a TON:

Lastly, here are a few useful links having to do with your car...

Good luck and have fun... this forum, despite the times ppl can be asses, will surely help you out a lot.

Wow ur accord looks exactly the same as mine!!

Yea i think i'm just gonna get a pair of those lights, and maybe get the conversion later when i saved up a bit.

Yeah, you're the all knowing source for Accord information I don't think you've even ever posted a pic of your Accord.

We wanted you until you put porn in your sig and refused to take it off. Hell, I take it back. Even before then, someone brought up the idea of getting rid of you because you were such a whore. I already explained the need for clean signatures, now stop your pansy whining on IL about how you were mistreated here and how we "don't allow any female sig pictures"...there's a flat out lie if I've ever heard one. Bare ass or huge breasts is different than a tasteful picture.

*Warning huge breast* *X Rated*

You consider this porn? Are you that deprived?

nice projectors... and NO it wasnt the blueness... although yes they were bluer... WE TOOK PICTURES OF THE WALL... and the Showoff's were obviously brighter.

XprincoX, just buy a pair of 9005's for your low beams and mod them according to that site... they cost the same as a pair of 9006's... you have no need to "save up." And if you want high beams too then buy 2 pairs of 9005's and modify one pair to fit in the lower beam slot... the site is pretty self explanatory.

Good luck and have fun! Post some pics of ur car if you can.

Thanks.

How much were the Showoff bulb wattage? Not what was said on the box but how much wattage it actually used is what matters. Reason why I ask is a 55 watt bulb can use 75 watts and the bulb will be brighter. Only downside is the heat the bulb generates, the lifespan of the bulb decreases dramatically and eventually you'll melt the OEM wiring.

Its like overclocking a cpu on a motherboard. Its possible by increasing the power. Only reason why a cpu can get overclocked somewhat safely is because you can put a bigger heatsink or more fans on the cpu. You can't do that on a light bulb inside the housing. Unless somebody is willing to tap some of the airconditioning cold air into the housing to cool off the bulb or builds a micro light bulb intercooler with water sprayers when idling in traffic.

I don't doubt that they get hotter... and I really have no idea what the wattage is... All I'm saying is, no lieing, me and my friends have used them for a couple of years and they are brighter and havent gone out yet... and no wiring or melting problems either.

But once again... damn those headlights are sexy, I wish I had em... are they from IllusionLighting? I saw some like that on their website...

Check my new thread... I'm trying to get some nice heads but am too poor for that haha.

Yea they are from Illusion Lighting. Those were BMW E39 5 Series DOT spec HID.

After my accident due to a lady that turned left in front me. I had to get new projectors and now I have Audi TT Ecodes.
