edit: Okay so I got the alternator on everything seems to work fine, except when I turn the key to the " on" position the Oil light and Battery light stay on? nothing else?

Those should be the only things that stay on when the engine isn't running because the oil sender is reading no pressure (= dummy light on) and the alternator is not functioning because it's not excited and spinning (= battery light on).
