i cant help you but installing/removing struts/springs can be dangerous without proper knowledge. I reccomend learning before attempting, especially since you dont know how to operate the tools.

time to grow a friend that knows what he's doing to help you.

I don't understand what you're talking about. I'm not trying to be a dick, you're in a tough spot with your car ripped apart.

front or rear strut?
is the top of the strut still bolted to the car or what?

at the top of the front strut under the hood there is one big bolt in the center of the shock tower...you dont remove that one untill you have the strut off the car and the spring compressor on the spring. the two or three smaller bolts around the big center one are the ones that let the strut drop out.

Yeah, remove the bolts holding the upper strut perch to the chassis, then the lower bolt(s) and it should just pop out. Don't worry about it being dangerous until you actually try to remove the spring from the stut. Note: DO NOT use the spring compressor with the strut on the car!!! (Obvious)
