This question could probably be posted on any car forum, but I frequent this one...and I figure accord owners are smart, cost-minded people

Anyway, I know that gas prices vary by day throughout the week...so, what day of the week is it cheapest? Has anyone actually figured their schedule out?

 

i gota be honest. i dont even look at the prices. I just swipe my speedpass, fill up and leave. h:. im prolly paying out the ass tho :wtc:

 

around my place ... gas prices vary like a bioch. i usually fill up on tuesdays because the local shell offers $.05 off per gallon.

 

How did you find that out? Do they advertise that as a "Tuesday Special"? Is it a local or franchise thing?

BTW...Shell is typically more expensive...well priced only for those with the card (5% back), my parents use it.

From lookin where u are from..... I am from LA & SD.... lemme guess u are either like from LA that goes to school in SD or vice versa?

But yea, freakin SD prices are freakin darn high.... I too would like to know the industry secrets!

its usually cheapest on tuesday or wednesday. thursday is when they change it for the weekend b/c people get paid and filling up their tank is one of the first things people do.

 

i get gas when i need it and go to specific stations that have lower prices....i still dont like paying $1.55 to $1.60 a gallon for supreme though

 

just wait till we bomb the **** out of iraq, gas prices will be even higher
