Default Headlight Bulb

I have been buying the Sylvania Superwhite bulbs for my 2000 accord sedan ex v6 and they have been burning out often. I was wondering if anyone knew of any problems with the bulbs or if there was a watt limit for the accord headlights themselves (like a short or something). I need a light that looks kinda like HID but better than dim factory bulbs. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I used Silverstars for a few years in my 94 Accord, but they would only last 10-14 months each. I think that's typical from what I read about them in various places. Decided it wasn't worth it $$-wise. Maybe they get too hot in the enclosed housing? I don't know.
