Default Helms manual and Haynes manual.

Hello. Today, i went to Autozone to purchase a Helms manual. I've known it as helms manual because several members on this board has referred it to Helms manual and ive even seen a cover of it that said Helms manual. However, they only had a Haynes manual at Autozone. What is the difference between those 2? Which one would you guys recommend? I know Jschmid has a Helms manual and his DIY posts are excellent so i wanted to get some feedback regarding the 2 books. Thanks.

I got a Haynes as a present. Its not as detailed as the Helms but its good enough. I think the Helms one is like 3 times thicker than the Haynes too. I would go for the Helms because its more detailed and thorough than Haynes.

The Helms manual cost at least twice as much as a Haynes and is much more detailed as well. If you plan on doing alot of stuff to your car yourself, like clutch and stuff like that, the Helms would be way to go, if it's just basic stuff like fuel filter and stuff like that, you'd be cool w/a Haynes manual

Helms, which can only be bought at helminc.com, are the factory service manuals. Haynes, are an "aftermarket" service manual, and can be bought at any local autoparts shop.

When it comes down to it, Helms is the official factory shop manual with detailed instructions (~1500pgs), and well worth the extra $$.

I have both and the difference is night and day... go with the helms, has a lot more detail step by step instructions with accurate diagrams.

I managed to find the pdf for 04 Acura TL. Servicing the brakes is essentially the same procedure for my 06 accord. There are some sections which are common for a general procedure. If anyone wants it I can provide a link.

This site will have lots of links for Civic manual downloads. But the links are for torrent.

Civic 2002-2003 SI EP3

Civic 2001-2002 UK and USDM models EP1 EP2 EP3 EP4 EU3 EU5 EU6 EU7 EU8 EU9 ES1 ES4 ES5 ES8 EM2 including turbo diesel and Type-R K20A2
