Default Help

I need your guys info and such....Heres a lil background, i have a 2000 Accord v6 ex with around 54K miles

I use to have those indiglo guages on my car and the stopped working, so i ripped them off, but it left a glue residue on it and i purchased some Goo Be Gone, but that **** is still on there so i was wondering can i go to a junkyard and rip out another accords dash and put it into mine without messing with my mileage and such?

Secondly, when i brought in my car for a oil change, i had them do the 28pt inspection and they tell me that i have 2 broken engine mounts and that its going to be 450 dollars to fix. I was wondering if there are any aftermarket mounts that are not rubber, but polyurethrane (spelling?).

And finally, my driver sound window broke, so im guessing its a regulator or a motor or something that is broken, how much should that cost to fix and is it easy to replace or fix so i can do it myself? thanks for your help guys.

You're screwed as far as the gauges so. The whole cluster needs to come out if you can't remove them, and you'll change your mileage obviously.

2 broken motor mounts??

I doubt this for some reason unless you have some serious neutral drops on the engine and tranny. I would have someone else check this claim out before any work is done on it.

You'd be feeling two broken engine mounts. I doubt this is true.

Yeah, I forgot to post about that. My mom's 94 Sable has one broken engine mount, and whenever you accelerate the front end shimmies like a mofo. Very unnerving. But yeah, you would definetly feel a broken engine mount, especially two.

it may not be a broken engine mount, but maybe on its way out.

I would just get some polyeurethane bushings, they are better anyways for wheel hop.

So the front end shimmies when you accelerate? I'm not sure if this is a job you can do yourself; from the price of it, it looks to involve heavy labor. I went into a ricer stage too, but I never did neutral drops h:

isn;t your car still under warranty? It should take care of all that stuff, other than the guages of course. Cheapest thing to do about the guages would be to buy another set of indiglos or even to make the cheapo homemade version of white face guages by printing your own.
