You're screwed as far as the gauges so. The whole cluster needs to come out if you can't remove them, and you'll change your mileage obviously.
back in my ricer days i use to do the neutral drops at the racetrack and when i raced people on the street, but now i really regret it cuz my car has been soooo abused
