I have koni reds which are also good. Shox.Com told me to get Red's vs. KYB AGX as well as many shops i called. The ride is like stock, a little firmer. But cornering etc... is a lot better.

First of all cut the arguments guys we are all adults here...or close to it.

Secondly I will second the idea about Tokico Blues sucking. I am riding on H&R sport springs and Tokico Blues all around. The dampening in the corners is not that great and the street ride is a little harsh. As for the price of $560 for them...no way that is too much for them you can do better and install them yourself...its easy.

As for cut springs....that is the most dangerous method of lowering a car ever devised not to mention completely ghetto. The springs will fail after a time since what is generally cut out is the "helper" section of the spring and it reduces its life trmendously. I have picked more than one bumper up off the ground after a cut spring failure.....DON"T DO IT, IT IS STUPID!

Camber kit is a good thing as it will save on tire wear and will allow the tires to perform like they are supposed to by allowing the maximum contact patch to be in touch with the ground. I chose Progress' camber kit but look around there are a few good companies out there.

i could care less about what my friend does to his car..... yea i know cutting springs is bad and i dont have to worry about that since i dont drive his car.... his car is stock with 18 inch c3... with a J Spec H22 on the way... I believe he cut the rear springs only....

At any part did i say cutting springs was good, no, i just said i have been in 3 rides with tokicos and they felt fine to me. So dont get all pissed off just cause i think there good.... you have been in your buds cars i have been in mine, to me it rides fine, and i dont feel any roughness, prolly cause the streets are smooth here.

Not to feul a fire or anything but you also have to consider the use the vehicle will be for and the general driving conditions.

Sac area has great roads (I grew up there) and rarely sees bad weather and from the description of the car it is a show piece and not driven hard (no offense).

Myself I live where crappy roads are everywhere and I also drive it hard in the corners, it has been swapped with an H22 already and is my daily driver. Performance driving is what I enjoy and in doing that you try out many different products and setups.

I don't think that name calling needs to be brought into this at all and if you like them for the type of driving you do then that is great but from a strictly performance point of view there are struts that are much better than the Blues are.

One other thing I want to point out about the Blues are the endurance of the strut. Mine have been on for right at a year now and are worn out. The dampening on them is getting softer and is making for a more bouncy ride (not what I want). If they were 2 years old I wouldn't be complaining but it seems that is a very short life for a set of "performance" struts.

Thanks. I'm gonna look around to a few local shops and online to try to get a good price on this setup. By the way--I live in the Tampa/Orlando area.

OK. I actually searched around for KYB AGX's and apparently they dont make them for my car. So, i'm back to searching for more alternatives.

If you're gonna do a combo set (springs/coilovers AND struts) make sure they work with each other. I know that GC makes 2 different sets for the 6Gen. One for stock/Tokico and one for Koni. I don't think they make KYB for the 6Gen.
