Default Need Tires, Please Help

I've read over some reviews on tirerack.com and consumer reports.
How about you guys? I'm in need of 205/60R16 for my 2003 Accord Sedan w/ steel wheels. It's actually my wifes car, so nothing to sporty. Everone always says Michelin's are the best, but I also know they are pricey. I was pleased w/ the performance of the Bridgestone Potenza's that are now worn out, but I sure didn't get many miles out of them.
I'm looking for a good tire for longevity, wet traction, and normal dry handling. Virtually no snow or ice. Please let me know some suggestions, there are too many to choose from!
The three I've written down to price are:
1. General Altimax HP, great reviews on tirerack.com
2. Yokohama Avid V4S
3. Goodyear Triple Tread
Ok, let me have it

Toyo Proxes 4 seem to be a good bang for buck tire that I think would fit your criteria. Falken Azenis would be good as well, but might not give you the tread life you want.

tried general, people say its great but i didnt like it much. Yokohama avids are good tires.

with the for price of yokohama, you can also get the falken ziex or toyo proxes as thisismatt mentioned. tires are only as good as the suspension you have. if your car has worn out shocks, and you got some good tires, wont make much differance.

Of your 3 needed criteria, I'd recommend Falken ZE-512 or ZE-912, but TireRack does not sell Falkens. DiscountTire or other places have them.

I put the General Altimax HP on my 2005 Honda Accord EX-L V6. They are great tires and they really grip and no loss of gas mileage. Great prices on them as well. Cost me $420 for the set including mounting, lifetime balance, rotation and tire repair. That was quite a bit less than the Michelin Primacy that is rated slightly higher on Tirerack but at a cost of nearly $800 for the set at Costco. I am quite pleased and will buy them again. I believe they will not last quite as long as the Michelin but at that price they don't have to. Good luck!

Go with the Toyo Proxe 4's. I have them on my GSR & love them. I'd never buy Michelin. When it's time for new tires on the wifes TL I'm going Toyo Proxe 4's.

I have 4 toyo spectrum touring tires in 215 60 r15 they have less than 5k miles on them, located in griffin GA if someone needs them. Only asking 200 bucks for them.
