Need help on fixing vtec
if you're feeling the "surge" and there is high-end torque to the car... then VTEC is working. Also, when VTEC does not work, you will get a CEL (check engine light).
But its up to you if you wanna go through all that work cleaning it.

But anyways, if your VTEC isn't working you will get a CEL, theres no way you can tell it's not working - at all, unless you get the annoying orange light.

how about this. have you guys ever tried running your car all the way to 6000rpms. I tried it one time too see what is does and my car bogged down. Is that suppose to happen?
