Default Transm. Problems on '99 V6?

Sorry for another thread, but you guys seem real knowledgeable.

I was told on another Auto forum site (Nissan related) that the
V6 Autom. in '99 and maybe even further back have a small herky, jerky transmission problem. It was also stated that in 2000 Honda increased the transm. warranty on 2000's due to this situation which seem strange to me. What's the scoop on this problem.

Is it real or fiction? Thanks!

Tom

The extended warranty applies to 2000-01 Honda Odyssey minivans; 2000-01 Honda Accord cars with automatic transmissions; 2000-01 Prelude; and 2000-03 Acura CL and TL cars. It is 7 yrs/100k miles. I've had a 98 Accord for over 90k and this 98 is at like 40k, and I've had no problems nor have any of my friends/coworkers with Accords had problems. 1.6% of all affected cars had a defective transmission. It's not nearly common enough to even give a second thought to, in my opinion.

thanks Lubs & 98Coupe...

But it does confirm there was a minor transm. problem and Honda
extended it in the vehicles & the years mentioned. Hope it isn't a crap shoot on '99 & prior but <2% seems like good odds I guess.

Thanks!
