Yes, that looks like the color. I just called it Dark Cherry cause that what it looks like to me. My bigger concern though is this car a good buy at $13K? I was a little concerned cause the exhaust is pretty rusty in the muffler area, so possibly the car sat for a while & built up rust? It's primarily the pipe that runs horizontal from left to right at the rear of the car. Other than that, all looks well except for a sizeable burn hole in the rear leather that they said they would try to patch. Also a couple minor rattles, one in the front dash & the other near the rear speakers. Any concerns with these cars having rattle problems?

Thanks...
13K is a GREAT deal for a loaded up accord. the resale value on it is really good too. i got my 2000 EX V6 Coupe, in Dec 01, for $18,100 (honda certified) with almost 24K on it ... so now i kinda feel like i paid too much. i've had NO rattle problems. it's an extremely smooth and quite ride too.

Eklypse,

Don't feel you paid too much. First, that was a year ago on a car that is one year newer than this. Plus, yours is Honda certified, this one is not. The used car lot will warranty it for only 6 months and that's it. Also it's not in Mint condition, I would say very good. She will have a mechanic check it out in the next few days. She is going back to look at it again & take it for another spin tomorrow. Other than the obvious, is there anything specific we should check on these Coupes? We got a Carfax report & it came up clean.

Just make sure the transmission is shifting perfectly. Something that needs to be replaced on all Honda V6's before 100k is the EGR...so check for pinging from the cylinders like they would if you put really low octane gas in or something. That's about it

gotta look at it. look for overspray in the undercarriage & wheel wells. try to find out why it's so cheap.

thanks guys for the latest comments...

VTEC I did check out the car out & I can't find anything other than the rust in the rear exhaust area. That is why in a day or two it's going to a mechanic that works on my '79 Corvette sometimes who will put it on a lift to check for any sins. I also checked all the fluids and they were all reasonably cleaned & the engine compartment was not immaculate, but was very clean. Car did not have any noticeable damage, but that is why we will take a long 2nd look at it. Also, steering felt tight, brakes were strong & engine sounded sweet but I'm not a mechanic.

I told my wife that this does look like a VG deal even with no long warranty for a V6 Coupe with 31K Miles. The Retail value is about $16K on this car and maybe $15K on the low end.
