the gaskets wont have anything to do with a misfire.
something ignition related is causing that
was the code present before you put the new wires etc on?

there is a guy named JWeller on hondasociety.com who knows a lot about check engine problems, you should contact him, he is under the 6th generation accord forum, he would gladly help you, nice guy. he has a section where u can figure out what each code is, and tell u how to fix it most of the time.

definatly something electrical...

lemme ask this... have you reset the computer after the tune-up? To do this... look for the ECU fuse... usually the radio memory fuse in Hondas. Pull it out and leave it out for like 15 seconds... re-install the fuse and drive the car for a while.
Sometimes, the computer will "store" the code, and keep the CEL on till the computer is reset.

Sometimes you need a scan tool that can communicate with the ecm to shut off a code, all though if no misfire is detected after 3 warm up cycles i think... the check engine light should go away but the code will be stored in memory for somthing like 80 warm up cycles. If you still have the light on a few weeks from now then your going to have to look into it further.

If you cleared the codes , and the CEL is still coming on , you might be having a issue with that sensor.

ok heres the deal...the light came on before i replaced all that stuff...my friend just used a portable computer from his work and hooked it up to the harness behind my ciggarette ashtray, and it said something like "ok to drive, computer just throwing codes" and "catalyst at low efficiency"...now is this somehow related to misifiring cylinders? when i used the paper clip trick, i read 7 long follwed immediately by 6 short, which is code 76, correct? i replaced my 02 sensor on the cat (i have a carsound cat) using a 00 civic sensor wired to my original harness(both have 4 wires) could this be the reason for this code? thanks again guys

edit: the mini comp asked "would u like to reset the code?" and we did...but then the code came on the next day

i dunno man, when i had this CEL problem, almost bought an accord o2 sensor, off a different year car, like 5th generation, i have a 6th. and people told me not to even do that, so i dont kno if having a civic o2 sensor is such a good idea, even tho, their both 4 wires. so i ended getting the one made for me, and worked fine, but than again, ur problem could be a coupe of things.
