Default Fog/driving lights

Anybody have these, or some made by this company, Pilot.

Just wondering if they are worth the $40-$50 they cost. They take H3 bulbs, im not looking for the HID like brightness, just want some added lighting on those foggy/rainy days.

if you've ever had foglights before, they really don't help. i blew $200 on some piaas for my Eclipse and realized that they lit up an extra 3 feet directly under my stock headlights.

the blue lens just makes the light "white" because it filters out the yellow from the halogen bulb. Pilot makes decent products... most of their products are pretty much identical to any $200 pair of Piaa's you can buy... they look the same and are built the same... so, again, I can say Piaa's are worthless.

The stock fogs for your car also put out great light, and look really nice too... they can be had for about $70 on ebay.

Fog lights are intended to put light in front of the car, and off to the sides... thats the way they are designed. Driving lights throw a long, straight beam... so the road far in front of you is illuminated... but they have to be mounted fairly low to avoid blinding other drivers.

Sweet, that's what I was hoping to hear. I opened up the package at WalMarth: to check the quality and they seemed pretty decent, they felt pretty solidly built. I think it's driving lights I want, not fogs, my eyes are getting bad in my old age(27) and I need all the help I can get as far as seeing the road ahead. Yes, I have glasses but when you can only see 10ft ahead of you cause that's all that's lit up, makes things a little difficult. I hope Santa brings me those lights for Christmas

don't, i bought some 30 dollar ones at one of those superstores and after maybe 10 hours of use, 1 of them burned out!! it was only a week after i bought them, so instead of replacing the bulb, i returned the p.o.s.BTW, I never noticed the part of your sig with the 4's -- 4 door 4 cyl 4 speed 4th gen. I like that.

Well, the same can be said for hyperwhite, xenon bulbs and such, people complain all the time about them blowing out prematurely, but when I did the conversion, mine went for well over a year, and I only paid $25 for a set of Nokya bulbs. In anycase, how much can a H3 bulb cost? I wouldn't imagine it would be much.

What are you talking about, there aren't any 4's in my sig

just be careful with cheap foglights....I made that mistake (got some Rally foglights at pepboys  ) and the housing all around the bulbs melted completely. Pilot's quality is not bad, but PIAA comes with a lifetime waranty, so if that ever happens to them, you can send them back.

Alright, that's two people who give Pilot a  That's what I really was looking for, to see if Pilot makes a decent product I think I may go for them, they're only like $40-$50 bucks for a pair, not too bad, and im getting some good feedback so im gonna see if my girl will hook me up for christmas.
