Do you think they will be necessarily better with only a .75 inch drop.
I don't know at that height if they will make that much of a difference over the Illuminas?

What do you thing?

from stock to 3"s down, you'll notice a nice difference with illuminas, I'm on my stock springs right now and the ride is superb, I was riding on neuspeed sports, but I'm planning on handing my accord down to my wife and she doesn't understand slow going up driveways so I put the stock springs on, and I was really surprised at how nice it feels.

i had em for nearly 4 years on ST speed tech springs...2.75 inches in front and 2.5 in back.
my blues are still good, with no leaking or blowing or bounciness.

no aftermarket struts except koni yellows honor the warranty on their product if the car is dropped more than 1.5inches.

basically that was the reason why i went with koni yellows.

I guess I'm pretty safe I plan on getting H&R OEs. I don't want much of a drop I'm good right now at stock handling the pot holes and construction after every winter around here. I'm also planning on Comptech sways and probably will go with the Illuminas. The adjustable thing sounds like fun.

You'll be happy with the illuminas. I was in the same situation as you, I'm only dropped 1.25 inches, and I didn't really think the koni shocks were essential for that kind of drop. I could see getting them if you are dropped more than 1.5, but with that modest of a drop you really don't need them, but they are considered the best. But the illuminas come in a close second in my opinion, in terms of performance and value. Post up some pics when you install the H&R OE sports, I've always wanted to see the drop they give on a 6th gen. Is it a sedan or coupe?

It's a coupe. It'll be a couple weeks before I get them in. I have to sort through the christmas thing first and while I'm doing that I have to figure out a good place to buy them. Have you ever purchased anything from Shox.com.
I found a couple of places selling them cheap but Shox.com has price matching and a cool return and replacement policy where you can buy the new item before returning the defective part under warranty. This way you don't have to loose the use of your car waiting for a replacement part. I hope I'll never need that service but it's nice to know it's there. But I don't know if these guys are any good. Know anyone who have used them?

I've heard good things about shox.com, but I ordered mine from autocarparts.com. I believe I paid aboub $440 shipped for them, give a take a few dollars. They have the best service, by far. If the price is close to what shox.com wants, I would go with autocarparts.com, they are very reputable.

I was looking at Autocarparts.com, iapdirect.com, and a Group Buy all for different things. But because Autocarparts won't price match (I've emailed them) I planned to go to Shox.com and give them all the prices and phone numbers to see what they can do for me. This way I get everything from one spot but I never hear much about them because they don't post prices. Good to know someone has heard good things abou them.

This is why, iapdirect.com is selling set of 4 illuminas for $430 and $20 shipping, I asked Autocarparts who has them in 2sets and wants to charge $20 for the front and the rear sets. That's twice the shipping so I asked them if they would match the shipping costs. They said no. But they have the good prices on other things that I want.
