Default Gutting out CATALYTIC CONVERTER, Worthwhile mod?

hi. im planning on installing my headers and catback exhaust soon, so i have to take the CAT out reguardless so should i gut it out? i have heard people do this, but does it really add any gains, and more importantly, will i pass emissions testing in philly? if anyone has done this, please let me know.
by the way.. the headers are dc sports ceramic coated and exhaust is r*sr catback. thanks!

oh yea, this is for a 5th gen (94-97) accord ex coup if my name didnt give it away.

it does add some gains but theres no way youll pass emmisions anywhere.

You can actually buy a high-flow cat that will work better/as good as no cat and still pass emmissions without breaking federal emissions laws. You can find a decent one for $150 on the Net.

gutting a cat is only good with forced induction. you will lose too much torque without FI

a gutted out cat will only give you a 1 or 2 hp gain, if even that. it's a really bad idea because you'll never pass emissions.

A useless mod that'll only lose you more low end torque, and hp than it would free up hig in the rev band.

I wont even get into the legality of it, but from a performance aspect for a 4 banger, its useless.
