Default Making A Type-R Grill... HELP!

I really want to make the type-r grill for my 5th gen. Accord, like the one that all of you use , with the middle bar taken out. I have no idea how to go about doing this though, I think you use fiberglass or something? But I wouldn't know where to start with that stuff. Also, do you have to get it professionally painted?

Thanks!

Did you or anyone else paint it yourself? How much would it cost to get this painted?

depending on the body shop and the quantity of paint they mix per job (either 1/2 or 1/4 gallon), you could end up paying $100 (labor included) to get such a small part painted professionally. if your car is black, you might be able to do it yourself with spray paint.

My car is some type of dark green... damn thats expensive... would there be a discount for getting more painted?

I am planning on getting my side and rear skirts painted and a GReddy Front lip also, what would it cost me to paint all of that and the grill... compared to just the grill haha.

basically ... the spray up till the can is empty. so, you could easily get more painted than just the grill. when my friend got her 4 piece kit painted ... the shop did eyelids, the grill, and a touch up on the bumper with the leftover paint. i think the shop only needed a 1/2 gallon for everything ... i forget, i gotta ask her sometime.

the dark green is a very popular color. If you stop by pepboys you should be able to pick up a can for cheap. Just be sure it's the 'import color'. Give it a try before you spend the money for a professional job.

Spray paint it with some duplicolor or plastikote.

And you dont have to use fiberglass, I'm working on one with epoxy putty
