Defensive driving takes off 10 percent .. I took it after a ticket so it wouldn't go on my record.

If your still at home get one or both of your parents on the title with you. If your parents are reluctant to title the car with you because they say it's going to raise their premium explain the advantages of multiple car policies. If you're lucky they'll take your word on it and sign. You could also go to a Driver's improvement clinic and turn in your certificate not only to your insurance company but also your local DMV, this will give you positive points on your driving record... that helps a **** load if you get a ticket.

Look for an insurance broker, he will find you the best deal. There are some insurance companies that don't rate for certain things...(i.e. DUI, accidents, minor)

www.progressive.com been w/ them for 7 yrs

www.concordtexas.com a buddy has them, sometimes it won't finish becuz of details, so they give you the 800# to call for a quote.

i live in Austin, the city w/ highest accidents, most millionaires & highest rent of the state. they quoted me on 2K Accord LX, wife & me & my dad (cuz he's the co-signer) 1 speeding & 1 accident, $135 a month, Geico wanted $225.
