my knob was really hard to turn when i bought my 94 accord last yr. My A/c never got real cold and i never knew why, until i took it into the shop. Turns out the cable was messed up, that runs from the knob to the engine. So my heater was always running just a tad, in turn causing my a/c to be warmer. The a/c shop manually pulled the cable to as far as they could to cold, and i had ice cold a/c. They told me to go to honda and have them fix it because its difficult. I havnt done that yet.... but now my knob does nothing, because the cable was lying lose in my passenger floor compartment, some how it got lose and fell off. And my a/c is no longer cold, nor to i have heat. I am able to adjust the temp in the engine bay though, near the firewall, but as hard as i pull the cable towards cold, it doesnt get real cold again. i hate it
Anyone know where to buy the parts to fix this problem? I think I have the same problem, the control knob is kinda springy...doesn't stay where I turn it to.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the cables getting old and not functioning properly anymore... but I really cannot say for sure, I really wish I knew.
