Default 7th gen owners...PLEASE READ!

Have any of you 7th gen. owners experienced any rattles so far?

There is a rattle coming from somewhere in the upper dashboard on the drivers side. I'm taking it to the dealer today.

Will they do anything about it? What can I expect when I take the car back to the dealer? This is my first car purchase and I've never taken a car to the service department of a dealer before. That's why I have these questions. Am I over-reacting?

Thanks

Of course not dooood it's your car and you have the right to go to a dealer anytime you wish if you are not satisfied with how your car runs, looks, and feels.

Of course you cant waltz in there and demand things like better braking power, higher engine RPMs, and stickier tires :chuckles:

So dont worry about being overprotective about your investment!! They'll fix it or they will lose the trust & loyality in a newfound customer.

I had a similar issue with my ride when I bought it in late 2000, about dimming lights when I used my power windows and wipers.... a$$wipes told me it was "normal" ... it took 3 trips of bltching and finally they found out it was on the honda_tech bullitin of common new car owner issues at the time

Go get your car fixed bro!

I got some noise on the exact same area: upperside of the dashboard right in front of the driver's area. I already made appointment to visit the dealership but then the noise is gone. Weird. Now my car is quiet.

How many miles do you have in your car? The noise disappeared when the mileage gets around 900 miles.

Drive it around a little longer and pray that it will be gone. Good luck.

haven't heard any rattles, but I can tell you our heated seats don't work, it's going back to the dealer on Thursday to get checked out, the damn things don't heat up at all!
