if the car is off and i put my foot on the brake the front parkign lights turn on.

all lights work correctly and turn signals too.

but when i have my car on and the lights on a press the brakes the dash lights dim.

not sure what the hell is goin on but yea its weird

 

check to make sure your brake light bulbs are inserted properly, and are the proper bulb... should be a dual filament like a 1157.

Try taking the 2 brake light bulbs out, then step on the brake, if you still have the problem... its somewhere in the wirring. If the problem stops with the bulbs out, then check what I mentioned above.
