I currently have the factory alarm in my ride... but it is not enabled. The dealership wants $300 to enable it. Is there any way to get this working without going to the dealer? $300 is quite a bit compared to much better alarms for cheaper :\

 

i would consider goin with an aftermarket one anyways for the reason that the facotry doesnt have impact sensors. this is why my car got broken into(they smashed my window :madfawk: no alarm) stupid people didnt jump through the window to do whatever they wanted 4 however long but then opened my door and poped my trunk. thats when it went off. they stole my amp but didnt take my subs also they fawked up my dash with screwdrivers and bent in the sides of my deck but couldnt get it out. so my 2cents get anaftermarket and :madfawk: the theves

I definitely want all the censors. My last system got totally jacked from my ride :\ Had a 12' vega stroker that blew away prety much every dual/triple 12' setup that anyone tried to put up against mine and had MB quart components to go with it. All phoenix gold amps to power them. All gone .

This time around im either going with the polk momo mm645 or infinity kappa components and 6x9's. Then prolly go with 3 JL 10's or 12's for my subs. Still not sure on my amps yet. I always like phoenix gold so might go with them again.

 

no it doesn't. someone broke into my car the same way as phat99accord's. smashed the window, jumped through, no alarm. luckily they didn't have time to mess around with my trunk.

 

thats why i have Clifford Concept 600 with glass break, proximity, motion, dual stage shock, and tilt. and a few backup sirens run by battery that are loud as hell

 

ok the alarm has to go off when the window is smashed .. if it doesnt then when would it go off? if u kick the bumper common i know if u use the trunk release button on the clicker and u dont open your trunk in like a minute when u open it it will go off... hieeeeeeeeeee

 

the stock alarm only goes off when the door is unlocked from the inside of the car. or the trunk is opened. its a pretty pointless alarm
