Default swapping auto for 5 speed
i have a 92 accord ex with an auto tranny i just bought a wrecked 92 lx with a five speed any tips before i attempt to swap tranny's? thanks

You got a whole car to look at for a guide, so it should be easy. I would use a 92-96 lude shifter if you can though.

does the motor in my ex auto have more horses than the lx 5 speed?

No, your 92 should have 140 -- it was the first year it got the extra power.

no mine is a 91 not a 92. it has 130 hp and 142 ft.lbs of torque.
but my member name says 92 because i used to have a 92.

The manual transmission will handle the power fine, same transmission for all manual Accord models.

And you have 130HP if you have an EX.

so you gonna put it in yourself. I go to a vo-tech for half the day that i am in school and i might do it here at school.

Look at your first post at the top, it says "i have a 92 accord ex with an auto tranny"

That's why we said 140hp, but yes a 90-91 Ex has 130. :slap:
