Accord Speedo Stuck at 20mph
Hello, When I start my car my speedo jumps up to 20mph and doesnt move. If I shut the car off it goes back to zero. This only happens sometimes. Sometimes my speedo works fine. Sometimes I will be going 40mph and it will bump down to 20mph and doesnt move again. Then when I come to a stop The needle shakes and then bumps down to zero. Everything on my cluster works. When speedo gets stuck the miles dont move.
What do you guys think? thanks

I had the same thing happen to mine. It is either the speedometer or the speed sensor.
Here is a quick test.
When the speedometer gets stuck at 20 mph, see if the cruise control works. If cruise control works, then the speedometer needs to be replaced or repaired. If the cruise control doesn't work, then the speed sensor needs replaced.
Mine was the speedometer. I found a speedometer repair shop online and sent it to them. I haven't had a problem since it was fixed.

A spare would have been nice for me too.
I don't know what the shop did to the speedometer to fix it. It could have been something as simple as worn out solder joints (like the common main fuel relay problems on 4th gen accords). I just didn't feel like fixing that one.
