02 EX V6 security light/cover on driver's door lock... Removal?
My remotes and factory theft deterrent system work fine but the little red light doesn't ever light up. It houses the door lock stem as well. Honda sells it as a piece, but I can't tell for sure how you get the damn thing out-- pop it or door panel removal. I assume the bulb is just burnt out. So, does that little plate pop out separate from the door panel? I tried prying with a tiny phillips, but I didn't get it to budge. I didn't want to damage anything so I let it ride. Also, is there a Radio Shack bulb interchange or is it a Honda special bulb? It'd be great if that little security panel popped off WITHOUT being held in by hidden screws under the door liner... Then I saw the Honda drawing and it looked like the wiring harness on the underside of that plate was a little long and MAYBE couldn't be accessed or connected without the panel being OFF the door. 2 door BTW.
