moonroof seal
i searched the threads and i didn't see anything, so maybe someone out there can help me out a little bit. the seal around my moonroof, sunroof, whatever you want to call it is torn all to hell. i have no clue why, but it is. i have an 03 accord v6 6speed....i found the seal for about $50 but i was wondering if anyone had a how-to guide to changing it. i am sure i can figure it out, but i kinda like to get an idea what i'm doing before i start something. thanks guys, i appreciate any help
You have to remove the moon roof their is 2 plastic covers on the inside one on each side remove them. You will see the nuts holding on the moon roof remove them. Be careful there are a couple of spacers on each side (little plated) thy are used to level the moon roof so keep them in order and in the same location. Replace the seal reverse.
The seals never truly seals Honda has designed a drain channel on each corner of the moon roof base you will see what I am talking about when you remove the moon roof. Little gutters if you will. So If you are having problem after replacing the seal with water in your cab look at your gutters not the seal. The little hoses on each corner are known to clog spray them out with compressed air to unclog them.

I have the same problem in that the rubber around my moonroof on my 2002 Accord 4dr EX is torn. When I asked the dealer, they said it only came with the glass and was $500+ :eek3: . Where can you buy the seal by itself for $50? If you have replaced already, how difficult is it and is there any special glue to keep it in place?
