Default Accident, stock tips

Hey yall,
I got a 3rd Gen (1992) Accord and I love her to tears. But I got in an accident.

Was wondering who here has the most miliage, how stock the car is, and what problems ya having. Just want to compare notes.
And to see who has a decent 92 model that I can check out..

90-93 accords are 4th gen.

3rd gen is 86-89 I beleive.

I used to have a '90 ex, black. The engine blew out at 175k, due to the head gasket. So I got a civic h:

A head gasket, interesting.. was it a 4 or a 6?
Also, why buy a CIVIC? I know ya can get a 4th gen for bout 4-5g.

My accident, took out all the front lights the hood was pushed back.. a real mess.
I wont have pics.. looks too bad.

Just wondering about who has any problems, I got this problem shock tower on the right passenger side. Body is immacluate. I am also wondering about engine shifting, at high miliage. handeling on various surfaces.

Im also looking around for factory alumnium 14's for my car.

Please looking for extensive answers.
Keep in mind, I do not want to hook up this car but, I do want it to make it to 200-300thousand miles.

Anybody have cars that reliable?

the civic only cost me $3000 what can I say, I'll be a backstabber for a cheap (in price) car :chuckles: Still, I miss torque

the 90-93 ex's and se's had standard 15" factory alloys, but I'd suggest 92-95 prelude si rims, also in 15"

in any case, get a good cheap 90-93 sedan, and save around $4000 for your fairly new (no more than 40k miles) H22 prelude engine

I'd take a 6gen Civic (96-00) over a 4th gen Accord in a heartbeat.

Little nitpick: The Accord didn't come with a V6 until 1995(96?), and that was the half decade old Acura Legend 2.7L V6 (C27) engine.

*making multiple replys*

I like that a 238.8!! I the car still stock? I plan on going as high in my miliage as I can.

How does the 5speed work against the 4cycl / 6cycl?

Also wondering on who has any good body shops in the Philadelphia area.

SirSmokealot mentioned 15" rims. Does 14 and or 14 matter on the same car being an 92 LX?

You also noted "the 90-93 ex's and se's had standard 15" factory alloys, but I'd suggest 92-95 prelude si rims, also in 15"
Why would you suggest si rims?

And again, which I hope to do, ""in any case, get a good cheap 90-93 sedan,"" But I have to ask.. Why did you say this, do oui know that moast 90-93 Accord cost bout 4-?? ""and save around $4000 for your fairly new (no more than 40k miles) H22 prelude engine""

Just curious about all these mods?
I just want a good well running decent 4th car. But everybody buys accords and then buys an air intake. Something I would never do. See an Accord is a good lookign car. I just think the 4th gen is the best looking.. besides the 7th. I have seen a 7th around.. They have the same dimensions as the 6th but look better!

Please get back to me with indepth details.

The Lowest Milage I've Seen W/ A 4th Gen Was Last Year (01') A Guy Joined Honda Society W/ A 93se With 32k Miles On It.. Was Apparently Owned By An Old Woman Who Became Bed Ridden Shortly After Purchasing The Car, And So She Couldn't Use It, The Husband Started It Every Other Week Or Somthin So It Was A Cherry Accord.

It Was The Teal W/ Tan SE Edition, Think The Guy Bought It For A Lil Over 5.5k...

It Was Sweet.

As For Your Questions:

Lude Wheels Vs Accord - Why? = The 4th Gen EX Wheels Are Ugly As Sin, The Lude Wheels Are More Popular & Attractive, So Are The 5th Gen Accord EX 7 Spokes.

Manuals Against The 4 & 6's - 1st Off I Don't Think A 5spd V6 Was Offered In 5th Gen Accords, The 4cyl 5spd's Are Good, No Real Downside Cept For Traffic Jams.

Function Over Fashion - You Said The 4th Gen Had Your Eye, Well Unless You Plan On H22'ing The 4th Gen You Can Pretty Much Expect To Get Ass Raped All The Time, Trust Me I Use To Own One, The Non-Vtec F22b6 Sux's, It's Slow As Piss, Redline Sucks, No VTEC.. If Your Gonna Swap, Then Hell Yea, Big Body Accord 4 Life.

What Is The H22 Swap? - I Dunno If U Asked This, But I'm Answering In Case, The H22 Swap Is Takin A Prelude (Preferable A Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) Model)) Motor & Putting It Into The Accord Body, So You End Up W/ A Sleeper W/ 200 OEM Ponies Under The Hood, Then You Can Still Do Bolt Ons . The Reason A 4th Gen Is A Good Canidate Is Because The H22 Bolts Directly Into The 4th Gen Motor Mounts, No Swapping Needed.

Hope That Helps Some.
