Default 18in rims on 92 Accord

I am getting some new rims..FINALLY!! Anyway I want some 18s but I can't figure out what I want. I like the 5Zigen GT-8 in silver or white or the Katana c-7. The only problem is that everyone & their momma got these. Do u guys have any suggestions?? Also what are some of the pro/cons of having 18s on an accord besides the fact that they look good?? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The ride will be rough (er) than smaller sized wheels, possible rubbing issues w/o proper offset. Make your car slower, stuff like that.

If you are getting 18s, I wouldn't go any lower than a +45 offset. I have 18s with a +42 offset, I don't rub, but I'm also only lowered 1.25 inches. You don't seem to have that aggressive of a drop, so you should be fine with the proper offset wheels. I wouldn't go any higher than a 7.5 inch width, with no less than a +45 offset on your application.

I'm about to do the samething Taz, but I'm curious about whether to get 35 or 40 series tires. The roads where I'm at arent that bad, and I've learned where all the serious pot holes are, but I travel a lot, 100 miles to & from work everyday, plus when i go home during school breaks. Also, if anyone has suggestions on how wide of a tire to get. The shop suggests 215, but I've heard other people say 225, what do you guys think? I'm getting chrome rims, probably 5 just in case, but I'm not trying to mess them up eitherway!!

How funny that I'm doing a "search" right not on the same subject and this was the first post that came up I think I might end up doing a post asking the same question. But I'm not interested in running 18's, 17's or 16's. But I'd love to hear from someone running any 225 size.

35 series tires are gonna give you a harsh ride, especially if you have such a long commute to work everyday. I have 225/40 18 and the ride is pretty good, but when I travel long distances I always put the stockers back on.

Don't want to steal anyone's thread here but hell we are already talkign about it and I need to know too so here it goes.... I have a 1991 Honda Accord Lx Coupe and I have a set of 18" Enkei Rs6's I got a few months ago haven't gotten tires yet and no point right now anyway winter is here and I am in Kansas however, I will be getting tires this spring and be putting them on the car for the first time they are still in the boxes never mounted brand new for discount tire, anyway the size is 18X7 4-100/114 with a offset of 38 how are theses going to work for my car they told me go with 215/35/18 tires also but I am thinking of going with the 40 series when the time comes but will this offset work good with my car, cause after they are on I plan on lowering it, not like tucking them but about a finger or 2 fender gap, an I gonna rub with this offset? Anything important I need to know about the size I got work or not for this please let me know asap, so if they will not work I can trade them off now for something that will they are still brand new never mounted with all new locking lugs and the wrench. Thanks guys in advance Ps main concern is offset with rubbing here is a pic of the rims I got

higher offset if you dont want to rub. +44 and above is good.
My offset is +42 with 225/40 tires, and I rub with rear passengers or extremely hard cornering. When I had +44 offset with my R/H's I didnt rub.
I'm riding on Neuspeed Sports w/stock shocks.

I believe that 40 is best for our cars.
