Default Bulbs to change gauge color?

Does anyone make bulbs that can replace the stock ones to change the gauge numbering color to blue? I know it's possible to do with LED's, resistors, sanding the bulbs down, etc. (thanks Cyrogen97!) but is there an easier way?

uhm... I dont know if you're asking the right question. The gauge numbers don't "light up" at all - stockwise speaking of course. The gauges are lit up by 2 bulbs above the gauges. If you want to change those bulbs, you can get bulb diffusers/condoms or you can paint them. If you actually want the numbers to "light up", then you have to go with reverse indiglos... no other way to do it.

I really don't think there is another way besides Cyrogen97's way

you'll just get frustrated if u try to mod those tiny bulbs(I think the bulb # is 74)

yes the bulb number is a 74... i unfortunately had some computer issues and i cant find the website i was at yesterday. they had LEDs for sale that were made with the attatchment that was a 74 sized bulb. it wasnt all that expensive either like $5 a pair or something in almost every color.

i just put blue bulbs behind my gauges, very easy on the eyes but wasnt exactly the color i was looking for. it was more dull then expected i guess i need the color of an LED to really get the effect. oh well still looks nice for now. for $2 that someone gave me i cant complain

IF YOU FIND THIS LET US KNOW!!!!

i've been looking for that. i was thinking about doing the LED conversion. i think i have a way to make the LEDs dimmable with a pot, too. but i don't have much time to do these things, or a proper place to work right now.

the bulbs in the gauge cluster already have blue condoms over them, but it turns out looking green, not blue. so making the light actually appear blue? i don't know if they make enough bulb condoms to suit your needs. personally i haven't been able to find ANY bulb condoms..

cant find bulb condoms at all either but i only used 4 194 blue bulbs, the store near me carries red and blue. i chose blue. its definately a royal blue but its just not as bright as i wanted, i wish i had a digi cam so i could take a pic for you guys. trust me i am definately trying to find that site still and i will post in bold underlined italics with like 18 point font when i finally do. i know there are lots of people on this site that would love to get their hands on them. i kick myself every time i have to talk about it
