What exactly is the color like? Stock isn't so bad, I guess -- the green has a little blue tint to it but it's still not blue. If there are bulbs out there for a few bucks that at least make it look a little better, it'd be worth it. Did your friend hook you up, or what kind of store did you find them in?

found them in autozone, common store. they are like $2 a pair if that. the blue is ok its kinda dull but thats cause the numbers have an off white filter on them so its a darker color. its not as bright as i had hoped for but its easy on the eyes and i think it looks better. i wish i had a digi cam but oh well

If you’re still looking for based LEDs for Type 74 bulbs, visit either www.ledtronics.com or www.starled.com You’ll have to call StarLED since its not listed on the site.

so do you know which bulb to get to replace the 74?? there are so many bulbs on those sites, and i can't really tell which one is a suitable replacement... the only ones with automotive numbers are ones for signals and tails.

i also sent you PM a few days ago...

I have just found a cheap source for LEDs. I can get 3 or 5mm LEDs in blue or white for $2 a pop. Red, green or UV only in 5mm also $2 each. All of them are super bright. They're just raw LEDs, but it's better prices than you'll find just about anywhere. I've just gotten a bunch myself and I'm gonna populate them around the car. I might end up swaping out some of the dash LEDs as well, but it's a lot of work that I don't know if I want to bother with.
