I used flat black high temp paint from Home Depot. Rustoleum I think was the brand. It's made for bbq's, etc.
Here's my result:

This one has a crazy reflection.

That was over 6 months ago, still looks the same.

I just cleaned them, then applied ~3 coats. No primer needed and no clearcoat (I don't think it's recomended for high-temp applications.) Mufflers I painted before install, pipes I painted afterwards while on the car.

Well, the mufflers were painted before install, so all I painted on the car was piping. That was easy to control, so I didn't tape anything off. Would I recommend it? It just depends on what look you want. If you want a black finish instead of rust, then yeah, do it. My TL-S mufflers were black to start with, but some of the paint had come off (like almost every Honda muffler...esp V6) so I wanted to paint it to make it look better, and I like black because I don't like the look of hanging exhausts in the back.

I'm sure the painting also has some rust corrosion protection, I dunno if it makes a big difference though.

And does it look like I could get under my car without if being jacked up?

Just playing...yeah I jacked it at the rear. You could maybe paint some of the pipe with the car on the ground, but you couldn't do a great job, ya know?

I like the all black exhaust look for my car.
Here's a better shot from the rear:

Jschmid, why did you pick flat black? Were there any options like silver/gray or even gloss black? I'm not saying it looks bad, just curious what other colors/finishes are available to do something like that. And no, I'm not doing it, because I like my exhaust.

I did it in black because I didn't want it to stand out, I wanted it to kinda "hide" under the car. Not stand out too much. I did flat finish because it doesn't reflect much, looks more stock. I think gloss would look wierd.

This wasn't like a stainless polished catback. It is two TL-S mufflers with custom mandrel bent piping, so it's not like I covered up something cool looking.

It's not the look for everyone, but it's what I wanted, and I like the result.
