Default steps to my sound stuff?

ok so i couldnt think of a good title for this thread. but here is my situation.

i am looking into my system that i am going to be getting and it consists of:

2 12 subs
2 1500 watt amps
1 15 or 10 farad capacitor

(speakers after bass)

yes, i know its a lot but my friend wants to take my car and use it for competition if i do all of this. i can get installations and boxes built for me for close to nothing, its a friend of my friend who owns a speed shop. that is not a problem so here is what my situation is.

the capacitor is the most expensive single item on that list out of everything. and i cant afford all of it right now so i have to piece it all together. should i:

1) buy one sub and one amp and get that installed for the time being so i at least have something
2) buy both subs knowing i cant use them right now and just wait and then when i have more money buy both amps and then the capacitor and then install it all at once.

i am leaning towards option 1 simply because installation would be done and prepared for the upgraded speakers and power wires would be run big enough to handle both subs with the amps. so it would all be ready to go. i would only need to get another box/custom install. but then again i can just sell the one box when im done with it, should be real easy to get rid of. the box would cost me less then a normal generic box so if i decided to sell it i could proabaly even make money on it. anyones opinions?

ok so i definately think i just talked myself into this but if anyone has an opinion just let me know.

yeah ok, most people here are going to say screw that and dont do a system at all, just unsprung weight. well its what i like and i want so its what im going to do. call me what you like.

Shaggy, do your system! There's go, there's show, and there's another class called sound. If you have a good chance of winning stuff someday that'd be awesome. I don't have any knowledgeable opinions to share on this, but maybe you could do the one sub/one amp. It would sound much better than stock and you wouldn't have to show it to anybody until you got a complete setup. Dunno, tho.

by 1500 watt amps, he probably means PEAK power.

A 12" Boston Pro sub can easily handle that power... 750 watts RMS.

A 10 or 15 farad cap huh?? lol... WASTE!! you dont need anything that huge.
Figure about 1 farad per 1000 watts of RMS power... so for 1500 watts RMS from the 2 amps, you only need a 1.5 farad cap. A good 1.5 farad cap can be had for about $200.

With 2 12's, I hope you're gonna have some pretty serious cusom work to go with it... otherwise you wont win crap, unless those 12's are insanely powerful and you can squeeze 150 db out of them.

a 10 farad bank is costing me similar. and looks nicer, its been reccomended to me by everyone else i have talked to but i will definately keep that in mind.

the amps clean power at 1500, not peak. and the subs can hold the same, RMS at 1500 watts each and peak at 3000. ok this is going to start some argument i know because ive already seen it happen elsewhere but i promise you thats how it is. i have seen and heard these subs with these amps and other amps and i have seen these amps perform with other subs, they can definately hold their own.

competing isnt something thats just going to happen over night, i know that. its going to take a lot but hell, we all have to start somewhere right?

no arguing here, I was just wondering what subs you were gonna use, that's all. And somebody had to answer the question like I was insinuating there there aren't any subs that can handle that kind of power:nono: There are subs that can handle more than that, again, I was just wondering what you were going with.

oh yeah im in no way trying to push people around here and say that they were starting an argument. i made that statement because i know when i talked to some people about this before none of them were agreeing with me and it caused a bit of a problem but then they heard the subs and were changed. questions and friendly suggestions are always welcome! i know there are subs out there that can handle much much more then a measely 1500 watts RMS each. but man talk about expensive.
