I know a lot of people in here have the jdmh22a and love them. bBut is there anyone here who doesn't like ther jdmh22a and regrets getting it?? I have heard pretty much all the positives about the motor but I want to here all the negatives you have about the motor if you have any at all?? Wrong installation, if you bought 2 of them and if you did why? Anything that went wrong. Just want to know if I go that route.
the only negative thing i know is that the h-series internals are like alloy or something and the f-series are stronger for forced induction setups becuse they have stronger internals or something like that.

Make sure ya research everything and make sure you get all the parts!
The only negative thing getting the h22a was waiting for missing things to be ordered... findout that exisitng components were worn had to be replaced....
Other then that... the wiring is also a biatch but if you know whats what you be alright....
But the wait is worth it!

true, for Forced induction you're betting off with the f22...lower compression and beefy connecting rods are your friends.

cant you swap out the h23 pistons in to the h22 i heard you can get better compression.

what do you mean better? as in lower compression for F/I or higher compression for n/a? if you are able to swap out the h23 pistons, it will yield a lower c/r. IF

as much as i want to run turbo on my accord. I am not going to run it on stock internals and would at least build the bottom end up and try to get it Port and polished. So I would be looking for about 2000 for the bottom end(not including the port and polish) and about 3300 for the turbo kit and then install. talking about 6000 for all of it while I could get the jdmh22a(which would be a lot quicker) and slap on I/H/E and some other goodies and run pretty damn quick I would say. I guess I just answered my own question. But running FI on a H22a I will have to do some research on. let me know what you guys find out.
