Default Please Help!! Intake/Resonator Question

I am in the process of taking off my resonator on my 1995 Accord. And I got to thinking, would it be ok to take the resonator off and put that paneling under the pipe back on... the molding around the wheel well... without having a cone style or aftermarket filetr... in other words im still using the stock filter box. I dont want too much pressure sucking into that tube near the wheel to suck in water into my engine... do you think its safe?

Thanks a Ton!

Its fine just hook the stock air box up to the end of the intake hose and call it done.

You can also install a 2" lenght; 2.5" diameter piece of pipe on the end of stock intake hose and use that to attach a K&N cone filter. I've been messing around with making a custom CAI that uses the factory box mount points b/c my AEM CAI is a piece of garbage IMO.
