Anyone know the Din Configuration on the 92-97 8-pin CD-Changer connection?
I bought an AUX/iPod adapter and the sound was horrible (fine out of the right, but very weak out of the left). So I decided I want to build my own cable.
All I need is something that goes from the 8-pin to a left and right audio (I'm not worried about charging the ipod).
With that said, does anyone know the configuration for each pin on that socket?
Or, will the Alpine M-BUS to RCA adapter work?

what adapter did u buy? i havent seen any1 build their own adapter and made it work. this is because you mentioned the Alpine Bus and yes you are correct. THe information is sent through data and that tricks the headunit to think you got a CD changer installed. so building your own would require you to know how to program an IC controller than can mimic the bus codes.
The METRA AIP-HD01:

So the Alpine M-BUS adapter will definitely work without any additional adapters? How is the radio able to sense this connection so it can switch to "CD" input, it seems like a simple rca-8pin cable?
Thanks for the info.

nope. the first one by metra should work properly with the factory unit. As for the second link, that is NOT for honda. I mean it fits and all, but it wont force the unit into switching to AUX or CDC (changer) mode. The second link from BUS to RCA is used for alpine systems. There is no adapter as u see since alpine aux connecters can just be added and they have the aux source option. Its not like the Honda deck where it needs data codes to allow aux or CDC mode as i mentioned. sorry if i confused you.

By the way, this is the EXACT issue I have, which led me to the ACUALP adapter:
