Default 03 EXV6 Cylinder #5 Misfire

Just wondering what could have caused cylinder 5 to misfire.
Yesterday I was coming back from a ski trip going up hill with a fully loaded car @ about 150~160km/hr. The engine light started to flash so I took my foot of the accelerator. Then whenever I would speed up to +125km/hr it would come back flashing. This morning I was driving around and no problems until again I reached 120km/hr, but this time the engine light stayed on. I checked the code and is 75 - P0305 - Cylinder 5 misfire. I'm not sure what could have caused this... anyone know? Any DIY I should attempt before going to the dealer?

I'm taking her to the dealer this weekend to have a look at her. Currently have 95,000km. I should also mention she's been dealer serviced since day one and never had any issued, completely stock.

Thanks.

Jon

On my Integra, sometimes I would just get a random misfire every once in a while. It would idle rough, I'd reset the ECU, and it would be fine.

Misfire could be anything from a bad ignition coil to a faulty spark plug ... even bad gas too.

The EXV6's have platinum tips, and those are good for 100,000 miles. (160,935 KM)

Bad Gas? Never heard if this, but anything is possible I guess. I did have to fill up before coming back from the skiing trip at a different gas station (not the same petroleum company I usually go to), but the engine light didn't come on till about 200km after fill up. I did still have half a tank of gas before fill up so it would have mixed.

Anyway I called the dealer today and they do have a cancellation this afternoon. I'm taking her in.

Thanks
