Default Need help with 95 Accord Suspension?

Today I changed the CV axles on my 95 Accord EX. I did this because everytime I would go up or down a curb I would hear a one time popping noise up front and both the outer boots have been torn for 2 years now. I just realized this popping is not coming from the axles. There is a long bolt looking thing with alot of thick rubber spacers. I have no idea what you call it but it is rubbing metal on metal and I think this is my problem. Please look at the attached picture. The steel bar on top of the bolt goes over to the other side which is also begining to wear. Can anyone tell me what this is and how hard it is to change. Do I need to separate the lower ball joint to get it replaced. Thanks for all your help.

Front sway bar end link.
You don't have to take anything apart to replace those, except the part itself. They should come with the bolts, washers, nuts and rubber bushings (spacers).

Thanks m735is. Do you think that's what causing that popping noise when I turn down a curb or embankment?

yep, that's probably 99.99% the cause the sway bar should not be hanging free like that. looks like ur missing spacers/busings. compare it with the other endlink(s) to see how it should be installed.

Yes, the noise is coming from the sway bar due to missing upper rubber bushing. It happens to my 92 Honda Accord S/W w/ the same suspension set up. It's a simple process to remove and replace the bushings. The replacement bushing cost around $30 for both sides. Something you can do w/ a couple of tools. Good Luck! I
