Default 2003 Door Panel

The door lock on my passenger side front door has quit working. I assume it is the actuator. I tried to take off the door panel, but I cannot get the handle pryed out. I have taken out the screws and have tried to use my knife to release the handle assembly from the panel.

What is the trick?

Thanks

Keperkey,

My driver side door lock had quit working too. I am a novice . Just got the battery changed and the next thing I know everything is more bright than it should be . A week in and my door stops working . Any steps pictures or advice u can share would be very helpful.

cheers,
T

Oddly enough I'm in the exact same situation. Drivers side door lock not functioning anymore. These are the closest instructions I found on here:

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...ght=door+panel

I'm about to go screw with mine. I'll try to take some pictures along the way.

Ok, so i got the panel off fine. I can see the actuator fine, but I can't figure out how to get it off. It's against the metal panel on the inside of the door, so it's real hard to get to. It's not screwed in that I can tell, I think it's clipped on, but I can't figure out how to unclip it. It clips on to a much larger assembly and I'm thinking the assembly might need to come off? No idea. If anyone has done this before and can shed some light that'd be great. Otherwise I'm just going to take it to the dealer and let them do it.

I did this on my 98. You have to remove the window channels to get to it. Basically, any screws you see in the area, take them out. It's very tricky to remove.
