Accord vs. CRV
I'm planning to have children in the very near future and was wondering which car would be better. I know the CRV can probably hold a lot more stuff than the Accord, but I'd much rather drive a sedan (better control, gas mileage, looks). This will be my first child so I'm not sure exactly how much stuff I have to carry. Any parent here with some advice? I know I'll deinitely need room for the car seat, stroller, and other assorted baby stuff. Unfortunately my Civic is too small for this. Maybe I can give it to my son when he's old enough to drive.

I agree with you that Accords are safer. I mean if an Accord ran into a CRV it would get crushed, but I think an Accord has a better chance of AVOIDING an accident. I was leaning towards an Accord anyway.
 I thought this was a RACE question by reading the title only!!
The CRV is bigger... cargo wise... with the accord you may have less tendency to fall asleep driving though!
I'd say go for the accord... you dont wanna "announce" that your a family man just yet!

I think I am the first person posting who actually has a child. My daughter is 18 months and we have another on the way. I would definately get a CRV over an Accord. I would really suggest the Pilot. There is a reason you see so many SUV's running around the suburbs - they are very convenient.
We bought an Isuzu Trooper and love it. I have a 5th gen Accord and we never take it anywhere with the kid. Lifting the baby in and out of an SUV is actually A LOT easier than a sedan cause you don't have to bend over to set them in place.
You can never have too much room. Those strollers are really big. Add in the pack n' play, diaper bag, back up diaper bag, food, toys, groceries, etc. and you will really like more room than the accord.
