Accords (and the great majority of FWD imports) are wierd with wheel bearings and drive axles/CV joints. Some will go forever others will die quick. My '93 went through two drivers side CV joints in 5 years while the passenger side never went though one. Wierd.

Im going thru that now with 2 of my hondas. Just put new cv's in my 96 odyssey and replaced one side in my 94 civic. waiting on money to do the other side. Its like certain vehicles have a 'magic mile' mark where they hit X amount of miles and parts start crappin. on my van its 140,000. on my 94 civic it was about 130,000

My personal favorite Accords are the Gen. 5. The styling, both exterior and interior, has never been cleaner IMO. We bought ours new, a '96 DX auto tranny; with over 200K miles the only "major" components I've had to replace are the starter, drive axles, and radiator. I do 5k oil change intervals w/ Mobil 1, and 15K tranny services with Honda ATF. It's been the best car I've ever owned. If you can find a relatively low-mileage, well-maintained one, that's what I'd recommend.

Werd... I love the 5th gen accords. Especially the 94-95's with the different grille and taillights.

Mine's been great... 165k and running beautifully.
