Default New brake pads with new rotors?

I wanted some opinions on this. I replaced my pads and rotors about a year ago on my '99 Accord (front only). I purchased some Hawk pads off tirerack but foolishly purchased some $30 x-brand rotors on eBay. Well, that came back to bite me in the ass. Granted, the accord warps rotors relatively quickly, but these warped in about 6 months. I bedded them in properly. It wasn't until about the 5-6 month mark that I noticed the infamous "honda wobble". Anyway, I wized up a bit and got some brembo blanks. I did a few searches and it seems like plenty of people have replaced just the rotors, but according to a few websites I looked up, there's some sort of compound on new pads that is important in bedding in rotors. I've never head of that before. Is it important at all to replace the pads along with the rotors or am I fine in using the year old Hawk pads? They look great and have plenty of life left in them.

Only some pads come with the bedding in compound on them. I wouldn't risk keeping the used pads, they wear with the rotor. But, if they are wearing even and are still thick, then it's your call.

Thanks for the imput. I got around to reading the instructions that came with the rotors. They recommend installing new pads. I'll probably just pony up the dough. Don't wanna half-ass it like last time. Thanks again.
