I'm not sure if you can clean the EGR vlave itself, but cleaning the ports can be a time consuming hassle. I've done it twice and it always performs a lot better afterwards.
I have the same problem. Just started today, I can push gas to the floor, but it still won't accelerate. What ports are you referring to and how can I reach them?
i just took the EGR out but didn't see any dirt...all it was just black like my exhust pipe and i cleaned it and put it back but i can't find the EGR ports where the heck are these things. i looked on the intake manifold and where the fuel rail runs but still didn't see anything.....can any one post pix???
i was searching around and i just found out that a poor grounding could be the issue since have noticed my clock, gauge cluster, and the lights Dimm when i accelerate. So i was thinking about getting a ground wiring kit.
I own a 1998 4cy 4dr auto. accord and for the past 3 years if feel that some days my car runs so smooth and picks up fast but there is days that it runs sluggish like if feel that i have to punch it more....i have also noticed preformance diffrence at different gas levels...the car seems to pick up faster when the gas level is right before the half way then when is full.... could it be a sensor that is bad that makes the car feel that way???
Do you pump different kinds of gas on different days? Or is it coming from the same gas station everytime?
