audio wire harness 94 accord
dont cut anything.........go to your local car audio shop or Circuit City,Best Buy, HiFi buys or something and buy you a harness that plugs right into your factory one. If it is a metra harness they sell it will be a 70-1720...........if it is Best brand then it will be a BHA1720............this will make your install easy and look professional with not complications.
That still makes no sense..................what kind of radio are you putting in? Most all major brand head units have violet/violet-black,white/white-black,green/green-black,grey/grey-black, red, yellow,black,blue-white stripe..........then possibly solid blue, orange-white stripe. These will match up to the adaptor harness that you say you have. They all come color matched that way. Just match the colors together and you dont have to worry about knowing what is what.
uh, actually there slick, it makes perfect sense, read it one more with me.
I have an adapter already. I want to know the wiring scheme for the accord because i no longer have the adapter paperwork and i don't know which wire is which. . .the wire that goes in one side (the accord harness) is the same that comes out the other (the adapter). I'm cutting the adapter from the old headunit and using it with the new.
furthermore, as an electrical engineering student, i know very well that a wire's color does not always indicate its function, its voltage, or how much current it will carry. Particularly in this case where the adapter is several years old and may not match whatever convention you deem "normal".
So if its all the same to you, i'll get the wiring scheme i need and not fry my new 400 dollar headunit.

Well here you go dip **** and your Alpine....."because you dont **** around" The colors on the Alpine ARE the same colors as the wires on an aftermarket harness. I dont give a rats ass if you are an electrical engineering student.......it isnt helping you much here is it? I was just trying to offer advise from an installer but you had to act like you are the **** with your student status. Wiring harness adaptors have been the same for well over the 11 years I have been doing this business. Obviously if you are removing your factory radio and it has a harness adaptor on it then its still a factory harness. Your high profile "got me an Alpine" ass should use common sense and go buy you a harness that will just plug into it.

what deck would that be?
