Adjusting headlights in 7th gen accord
Ok, I put in an HID kit the other day, and now that I have a lot more light to see, I notice my left headlight is pointed at a slightly different angle from the right one. So I pop the hood and find the little adjustment holes but can't really tell what's needed to adjust them. Reading the owner's manual simply says take it to Honda (that's real helpful). Do you need a special tool to adjust them? I tried a screwdriver and can't seem to get anywhere. Looking down that hole with a small flashlight I see some teeth, but can't really see how they're supposed to work. I'm guessing Honda has some funky tool they stick down there. Anybody know if you can adjust these yourself and if so, how? :-) Thanks a bunch.
I also installed the HID kit and must say they are bright (5000k).
Adjusting the headlight is a pain.
What I did to adjust was, find a wall on a flat surface, put tape on wall, etc, etc. there is a link here on how to aim your light...
With the accord, what I've done was use a 10mm socket. It's hard to see but if you look horizontally (not thought the hole; because you won’t see a thing) the teeth that you do see are attached to a nut. Use the 10mm socket with an extension and you should be able to rotate it freely.
Anyways it worked for me.
