Default anyone from ny

Does anyone know if its legal in NY to take of the yellow/amber reflective piece on the headlights? And if yes, is there a clear/white one that i might be able to buy to replace it? i have a 04 accord sedan and want to smoke the headlights, but with that reflective strip, i think it would look kind of weird. And what about smoking the tail lights..should i just smoke out the white part?

Not from NY, but from NJ and I don't believe it is as long as you use regular halogen bulbs in you headlights along with amber corner bulbs.

It doesn't matter what you have in front as long u got the yellow/amber bulb. Thats what I have with my clear corner & bumper and never had a problem.
