yeah. its ur transmission for sure. and you can probably sue them too if they dont fix it. ( i mean even if you lose your job, you can blame it on them)

well, the mechanic just came to my house and checked it out. and sure enough the tranny is slipping.

So could the fact that the car was idling at 4000rpm have played a role in the transmission messing up? I think that the constant beating being put on the tranny could of messed it up.
the tranny only started giving me problems once I got the car back from having the motor put in. The tranny is under warrenty so I'm sure I can get another one, but should these guys have to put it in for free?

I don't know what to do now, and I'm pretty sure I lost my job because of it.

Yea, I would say that should be required to fix and repair not just the transmission but the problem as well. Which this would require them to install the new transmission. Did you miss work or something because you had no ride?

I called the mechanic, and they don't want anyhting to do with it. I know it's their fault but I don't want to mess with it. they say they didn't touch the transmission, which is true but their crappy motor job messed up the tranny.
I lost my job because I used my car to deliver stuff, so without my car I couldn't work.

The transmission is under warrenty, so I'm gettign another one. I just don't want to pay somebody another $400-$500 to put it in.

I was wondering if anybody knew how hard it is to install a transmission? and if somebody could possibly link me to a tutorial or instructions on how to do it. I think I may be able to do it myself this weekend. As long as I have some basic instructions.

any help appreciated.
