Default Alarm automatic set problem

I think I have a factory alarm for my 95 Honda Accord. The alarm automatically sets itself after a few seconds. It doesn't even give me enough time after closing the trunk to walk to the door.

How do I reset the alarm to only activate when I set it?

Hope someone can help!!!
It's driving me crazy!!!

The factory alarm doesnt have an automatic arming feature that I know of. Depending on how old the system is, it may just need to be replaced.

the 95 never had a factory alarm..only the 97 SE had factory one you either have a dealer installed (honda remote) or aftermarket one if you post a pic of the remote someone might know the brand and you can go to their website for a manual.

Just get it replaced, that all the advice I can give. It'll cost about the same to have someone tear it apart and try and figure it out.

Get a Viper.

Without being there, I'd be near impossible to tell you where to look. Every installer hides things differently, I wish I could be more help. Sorry.

thats definatly aftermarket but never seen that style remote before is there a FCC id # in the back of the remote ? how about warning stickers on your windows? but being a aftermarket alarm it's most likely hidden under the drivers side dash as all needed connections are there and they get paid for how many cars they do a day.
