Default Car paint job

Anybody had experience with Earl Scheib Paint & Body? Are they good? I went there yesterday to get an estimate for my 2000 honda accord, they quoted about $900 for their pro 4 paint job. Are they charging me too much?

What else is a good company in the San Bernardino area? Thanks guys.

STAY AWAY! I got my last car painted there because I was stupid and didnt listen to everyone else. Their attention to prep work is absolutely horrid. Your paint will chip, shrivel, and wrinkle in many places and if you get the door jamps painted it will chip off where there is any type of contact. Also I noticed on the lower end of the car behind each tire (where dirt gets kicked up), the paint was ripped off to no end.

Stay away.

Regardless of what kind of paint they use, they poorly prep the car beforehand. You'll regret it.

Two points:

1. You get what you pay for... maybe.

2. Companies like Earl Scheib and Maaco are locally owned franchises, so the quality of work and service will vary from shop to shop. One guy's experience in Pittsburgh may or may not have anything to do with the shop(s) in San Berdoo. Two different shops in San Berdoo may be completely different. It all depends on the individual franchise owner.

i had a dealer do mine. the entire car and to cut out the dog leg rust, replace the metal and paint. i had to go back 2x and its never been right. i have rust back in the drs dog leg. i took it back so many times i just gave up. they would break something each time i took it in. i paid $3000. i had no body damage other then the bumper which they fixed. suppose to be a new bumper but over time i could tell it was the original. so u dont always get what u pay for esp with dealers. montgomery chevrolet/honda in ky stay away from them. they lost my business.
