Default I Need Help On My H22 Swap

wuz up people i swap my f22 engine with an H22A with tranny and all everything is working fine engine starts good everything is working fine but im having a little issue with my tranny my shifter doesnt change from park to reverse and on im able to put a key in the shift lock and able to move to reverse the car gets reverse perfectly but i have a problem my tranny doesnt go to D4 it drives on like first gear i have automatic tranny do i need to have another ECU for the Tranny? and if i do which one do i need im having a mission on this im dieing to pop vtec if anyone can please help me out let me know wuz up man thanx

you need an auto eCU with an Auto transmission.

wow...why didnt you get the 5spd tranny?

gotcha,.. Did you swap over the ECU from the donor engine or one to work with the H22 engine?

yea i swapped the ECU from the new engine and everything car starts good idles great but wont shift to drive i press the brake to change to drive but i dont hear the clicking noise to shift i dont know whats the problem?

what year is your car ? also does any of the shift postition indicator light up?

thats your problem right there the stock accord PCM has the TCM built in thats why theres 4 plugs were as the prelude ECU the TCM is a seperate unit in the 97 + USDM and most JDM ones as well so if you pluged your Dx PCM in it work and shift but no vtec as with the prelude ECU the car will only drive in 1st and reverse unless you shift it.

ok so what should i do for the TCM where can i find one or can i use the ECU from the H22 and swap some wired or something

the only ECU for the H22a is for a 97+ prelude thats the good news....the bad is you will need the matching tiptronics trans. to go with the motor also you will have to deal with the immobilizer system the 97+ has.. or you can put a 96 Ex ecu in so the car will drive and shift and have vtec but not ideal but driveable...
